Expert: ALARMTEK - 9/9/2010

Question
The alarm on my car automatically sets 1-2 minutes after the ignition is turned off. Which is pretty darn irritating. My main problem is the horn/chirping when I press the unlock/lock button. I read that it could be silenced, but I don't know how. My grandfather's cousin got the alarm installed about 8-9 years ago, and she can't find the manual. It's a Prestige alarm. The alphanumbers on the back are APS2K4MS.

The "passive to active" feature setting procedure
would only be found in the manual for the alarm.

it, and where to download a copy of the manual.

If nothing pops up in the search, ask my forum moderator Robert
to see if he has a line on it for you.

Then you can figure out the toglling procedure
to turn of the passive arming function.
