Question
I have a 1998 plymouth voyager van. Recently the alarm set light will come randomly while i am driving. Sometimes it will turn off by itself, other times it will prohibit me from starting my car altogether. Is there a way to permanently disarm the alarm system so that I do not have to deal with this? It seems coincidentaly that the Check engine light is also now coming on very frequently. The transmission does not want to shift when this light comes on.
Hmmm, this intermitency sounds like the BCM
(body control module on the 97-99 Caravan/Voyager)
is bad, has a fault in the wiring or, is
about to fail. Hard to say from my vantage
point. But the Diagnostic plug would
read the codes. Have you checked this out?
