Expert: ALARMTEK - 10/1/2011

I am the original owner of a 1986 GM (small)jimmy. When I purchased it, I installed a audiovox car alarm. I never received any paperwork about the alarm, just how to push the button.
I know that it was installed at time of purchase & it takes a audiovox PR00E2 remote. The vehicle is now being used on our land & I want to disconnect the alarm. Where I live there is no one who is interested in helping or offering any information.  The place that installed it is under new management (who laughed that it still works)& 3 1/2 hours from us.  We moved to a different home about 11 years ago.  
It would really be appreciated if you could tell me or describe
to me how to disconnect it. As requested my e-mail is above.
I look forward to your reply, I would like to do this before the
cold weather sets in.
