Question
i have the factory alarm and tried to disable it by grounding the dk green/purple as suggeted in earlier post.  i did not diasble my alarm.  any other suggestions.  i am have the intermenent alarm going off issue.

Answer
Well, there are 3 possible alarms in there. The once you attempted is the horn honking headlight flashing part of the system. By grounding that
wire you terminate that. Then you have the PATS system. This is the immobilizer
and if this is set, your options likely will
include a visit to Ford. See details on this at www.FORDPATS.com

Lastly since you've read up on this, if there is an aftermarket
alarm, find the valet override switch (see past answers)
to reset it.
