Car Alarms/Commander 7000PC draining battery???

Question
I have a 2000 GMC Savanna which I purchased new and had a Commander 7000PC 4 channel remote control security system and remote engine starter installed at the same time. Recently the battery drains after only 2 days sitting. Thinking it was the battery I purchased a new one only to have the same result. I am thinking it might be the alarm system is malfunctioning. Could this be the problem? If so, how do I totally disconnect the system from the vehicle?

Answer
Can be anything from a bad alternator to a relay frozen open
and is drawing 30 amps. Blaming the alarm is premature.

To solve thiissue, take it to a local stereo/alarm shop for
evaluation. They will test all power points and find the
bad drain.

Best thing really.
