Sir, I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous with an intermittent start problem.  The engine turns over but most of the time it will not start-up.  So far I've changed the plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and the ignition control module, but problem remains.  There are no fault codes.  I read articles on-line that indicate I may have a problem with the Passkey III security.  What do you think?  What is my best next option?  If a bypass is your recommendation, please post the vendor and part number.  I really appreciate your help.  V/r, Joel

Sounds like the ignition switch reader assemvly
may be waring out. Yes a bypass is suggested
here as well as a remote starter, even a basic
one, in the event the key reader goes bad all
together. The replacement parts and labor in GM
Germany would be expensive.

Instead, put in the GMBP kit and be done with it.
