Expert: ALARMTEK - 7/21/2011

Question
I have a 2007 chevy truck. I installed a néw remote start/alarm.
About 7 months ago it started locking by itself when the door is opened.  In another words, alarm is not on, I open the door and all the locks lock.  

I took it to the alarm place and they said it was the driver side locking module.  I then took it to the dealership and they said it was the after market alarm.  

This bothers me alot because I keep locking myself out.  

Can u help me. ??

Depending on WHICH chevy truck you have,
my bet is that the door trigger wire that they installed
it on is incorrect or mis connected.
Could be anything from a t tap misconnecting, to an ignition
wire not right.

One thing that leads me to this conclusion is that alarms
depend on the door trigger to keep the alarm from locking the doors.

I suggest going to a 3rd source for inspection/evaluation/repair.

Try a Best Buy shop. They try to keep up with the required/current
installation information.
