Expert: ALARMTEK - 8/20/2011

Question
My alarm randomly goes off. It does this more at night, but also during the day. It doesn't matter if my car is locked or unlocked to do this. The only way to get it to stop is to start the car or put the key in the ignition and turn. It also did this a little less than a yr ago, but stopped on its own. I tried unhooking the battery for 15min to reset things. There is an anti-theft fuse, but also has a cluster on the same fuse. I took out the fuse for the horn temporarily so it won't disturb people.

I'd have GM run a code diagnostic to determine the
fault. Not allot I can offer on this except to
render the security (PASSLOCK 2 ) inert, and that is
only advised if you can not start the car and don't care
if there is security or not.

contact the service dept. at the local GM dealer
for evaluation/determination.
