Expert: ALARMTEK - 8/30/2011

I have a 1998 LX470 with a prestige alarm.  I've had it for a year and I've had issues with the Automatic Height Control system going up and down without regulation.  One of the issues one mechanic told me was that an aftermarket alarm system/starter can possibly cause issues with this system.  I'd like to try and disconnect the prestige alarm system to see if it helps with the ride height system but I don't know how to do this.  I turned the key to the on position and held the valet switch for 5 seconds then turned the key off but I don't see any change in the alarm system operation nor does it help the ride height system problems.  Any other suggestions?  Can i unplug the brain box of the prestige?  Please advise as it's a great truck but the ride height system failing is wearing on me and I just want to cross off as many possible issues as I can before taking to dealership to pay a bunch of money.
