Question
I recently read a post here where someone had the exact same issue that I now am having.  After a dealer visit, my alarm was hosed i.e. would not work from the fobs and I had to use the override switch under the dash to start the vehicle.  I have since re-programmed the fobs (3 chirps) and they work fine but now the alarm goes off randomly, last night at 12:30 AM for instance.  The answer given for this issue before is below but would you leave it as is after the reset (1 chirp and the led on) or must you return to user mode ?  Thanks in advance - Lou

ANSWER:

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode to see if this was corrected.

Answer
I would search for the shock sensor under the dash area
and turn it down or off, to eliminate the random triggering.

That way the only way the alarm would trigger is when a door opened.

Try it. Look for a blinking box wire tied in place under the
drivers side dash area, and unplug it.

Good luck.
