Car Alarms/alarm stuck in valet

Question
My husband and I own a 1998 Dodge RAM 1500 Pickup and had to disconnect the horn because the alarm (the truck's horn) would go off continuously one long "honk" and wouldn't stop even when the key was inserted in the ignition. We know the horn button sticks at times but later found out through a friend who is a mechanic for a local Dodge dealer that the alarm was in valet mode. We are looking for the override switch under the dash but have not located it just yet. We also were looking for instructions on how to get it out of valet mode. Hopefully we can fix the alarm before Oct. 1st because we would like to have a working horn and alarm for our trip cross country from Chicago to Albuquerque and back. Any info you can provide us with is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Melanie & Thomas

Answer
Hmmmm, well it's Likely going to be factory if it's
the car's own horn honking.

However, if it's a siren and flashing lights,
it's after market.

So, ok, here's what I know...

Normally, putting the key in the drivers side door lock,
turning to the left, then to the right all the way
will unlock and disarm/reset the "OEM factory"
alarm system.

Unfortunately, that's the extent of what I can or should
share openly here at ALLXPERTS.com :>( .

(Actually, it's also legally prescribed for me not to.)

Obviously, posting this sort of sensitive information
for all to see and implement is not a good idea.
Since I can be held liable if my info is used to perpetrate a crime,
we sell it for a very modest fee, and keep track of who buys
it in case it should come back to us for review.

If wanting this information to solve your disarming issue,
please go to DISARMALARM.com so I can get you the
information you require to fix your particular situation.

I know you understand and I hope to be able to help you
with this problem in the near future.

Regards, and be well,
