Car Alarms/ALARM THAT WON'T TURN OFF

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1994 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer and last night during a storm with lots of lightning and thunder, the alarm went off and would not turn off.  After about ten minutes of blaring horns and lights flashing, I disconnected the battery.  Today, I reconnected the battery and all was quiet until I tried to crank the engine and the alarm started again.  The first two times, turning off the key stopped the alarm but the third time, it would not turn off again, so again, I disconnected the battery.  Any suggestions?  I'm thinking of pulling the fuse to the horn so I can drive to the dealership.

ANSWER: No fuse pulling!
Ok, start with description.
What is "going off"? Is there a siren?
You know, 6 tones warbling? Or is it
the truck's own horn and the headlights?

This data will help me help you.

QUESTION: It's the trucks horn and headlights.  No siren.

Answer
Ok, this OEM/FATCTORY alarm system requires
that you ground the proper wire
in the vehicle to disarm when you unlock.

To do this normally is key in drivers,
or passenger door, turn hard left first,
then right to disarm and unlock.

If this does not stop the alarm, then you
would need to go into find that wire and do a
physical grounding to acheive that.

Since that is fairly sensive data,
it's simply not shared in a public forum
like this. I hope tyou understand the
liabilities. :)

If you need to get that level of override, go to
my site at www.DISARMALARM.com and see the link
for disarming an OEM/FACTORY alarm.

Luck with it. Hopefuly the key
trick should do it for you.
