I have a 2000 Buick lesabre and I had the same problems, so what I did was  I found a 12v constant power wire(which is normally orange in GM model cars) and I tapped into the light switch(yellow) wire, so now my amp and screen deck only comes on when the lights are on., your gonna have to run all your speaker wire to yeah you're gonna lose your chimes but who needs em.
