Question
i'm replacing my stock radio ,the wiring harness is no problem, but on the stock radio there are two thick black wires plugged in ,one thicker than the other and has a yellow connection on the end. the much thicker one has a white and blue connection on the end. im assuming one is the antenna, cant find any info on my problem, thankyou if you can help me out.

Answer
Hi Mike,

On late model Dodge/Chrysler vehicles, it's imperative that you get the correct adapters and connectors to connect the stereo, or you can affect the functionality of other devices in the vehicle.

You will need something like this:

to install your unit.

It should account for all of the wires going into the current factory deck.

Expertise

I can answer questions about the electronics and mathematics behind car stereos, provide information on locating wires, wire interference, gauges, etc. Since they're almost entirely subjective, asking questions about brand names may not result in the most useful answers.

Experience

I've been installing car stereos for friends and family (albeit not professionally) for 8 or 9 years. My knowledge lies mostly in the math and technical aspects: impedance, required gauges, fuse levels, frequency response, etc.
