AnswerThanks for your question. I suggest that you check out some of the websites for universities with MBA programs. Here are a few examples (I am choosing random examples since I do not know what MBA program that you plan to attend): Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business maintains a page listing MBA salary statistics for graduates of their program:
http://www.tepper.cmu.edu/mba/your-career/statistics/index.aspx The Harvard Business School’s salary comparison page can be accessed here:
http://www.hbs.edu/mba/recruiting/data/industry-career.html Here’s the link for the relevant page for Wharton:
http://mbacareers.wharton.upenn.edu/report/induscomp_2.cfm
Check the web pages for the MBA programs that are of interest to you to see if that information is included on the site. If you cannot find it, take a look at the web pages for several other comparable business schools to get a general idea.
Another good source for salary information is the GMAC Alumni Perspectives Survey Report, 2007:
http://www.gmac.com/NR/rdonlyres/4CE5E96F-1EBC-4A47-89B5-613E4F597CA8/0/MBAAlumn...
You may also wish to take a look at the following survey: “MBA 2003 Graduates of Top Business Schools”
http://www.fuqua.duke.edu/admin/extaff/news/report2003/ Click on “Employment and Compensation” and then “Compensation by Career Field.” Even though the report is 5 years old, I think it is still an excellent source for this type of information.
Here is the link to an article on this topic in the Career Journal:

I hope this is helpful. Good luck!
