Question
Hi,

My name is Mitali. I am 12th (H.S.C) passed and have an experience of working with international Call Centres for U.S, U.K and also for Indian process, for four and a half years.

Now, I have my ten months old baby, hence I am thinking of doing some course (studies) which can help me to get work at home easily and for long term. I want to do some interesting work which has lots of scope in the future as well and I can continue it till my age of retirement.

I know there are lots of data entry works but maximum are fake and I don’t find it interesting. I want to do something like Medical transcription, learning different languages or something like this kind. But I am totally blank about what will help me the best to get good work and money in the future (has lots scope).

Also to clarify I am looking for a short term course so that I can start earning as soon as possible.

Please guide me with different career options.

I will be really obliged to get the best answer for my query.

Thanks and regards,
Mitali Desai.

Answer
Mitali,

Thank you for your inquiry.  I think that there actually are some valid work-at-home data entry opps available out there.

I am a big fan of the site www.virtualvocations.com

Companies there post virtual jobs available and provide the mechanism to apply for these opportunities.

You mention that you are also looking to take short-term courses in areas such as medical transcriptionist.  There are several online training courses and home mail correspondence courses that teach these skills.  I don't believe that all online courses are created equally, so my biggest advice here would be to get online and start blogging with others that are doing this type of work that you wish to get involved in.

Start asking questions, talking to successful transcriptionists online via e-mail, and evaluate programs based on recommendations, return on investment inquiries and value of the program to having the course providers help you with job placement assistance.

I hope this helps!
