Career Planning/Getting A Microsoft Certification

Question
Do you think is worth to pursue a Microsoft certification?  MOUS or Equivalent?  I am an experienced programmer but I want to bullet-proff my career.
Do you know of any program tha that may help citizens to enroll in technical short courses and help with the expenses?

Thank you

Answer
Hector:

I believe any certification, certificate or program on continued learning is ALWAYS a valuable marketing tool for the job seeker.  It is my belief that where as a single factor may not be the one thing that makes an employer look at your credentials and decide to interview you for a job; it can act as a tie breaker between yourself and another equally qualified candidate for a job offer.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with any programs that offer scholarships monies for taking these short courses.

Hope this helps.
