Question
AS you know about recent economic crisis specially mortgage in US. what should be the alternate career to be chosen for people like us i mean credit officer/credit analyst...

Answer
Ashar:

I think that given my review of job duties for the credit officer/credit analyst role with the Dept of Labor, you should seek out any opportunity within an accounting department initially.

I believe that the KSAs (knowledge, skills, and abilities) would be an easy transfer to a role of bookkeeper and/or accounts payable or receivable roles.

However, your are NOT in anyway limited to these areas, I would take this time to conduct career planning and career assessments to hone in on your strengths and your passions, and look for work that matches those characteristics.  That's going to be a very individualized process and at the end of the day, can be in any industry or spectrum of the workplace.

Just my two cents worth on this issue; I hope this helps.
