AnswerYou will most likely do your best work if it is something you are passionate about.
It sounds like you are a competent employee. You are just looking for a career you feel passionate about. That is a process that probably won't happen overnight.
Ask yourself these kinds of questions:
What is it that you enjoy doing when you're not working?
What are your favorite parts of the jobs you have had?
What are some careers areas that I find interesting?
Do you know anyone who works in those areas who can answer some of your questions?
You said that you feel challenged when you have to convince someone out of a problem. That may be something you want to explore further as a career option. You might make a good career coach or some other type of coach.
Look for creative ways to use your personality traits, skills & abilities, and passions in a career application. Ask questions. Interview people. Ask people what they see as your strengths. Ask people about their careers to see if it is something that interests you.
