Question
respected sir,
i m from india & have following questions to ask:-
i m a 2nd sem, student of mba (not from a very good institute, no hr co. visits here,no good mkt. co. also visits here)
1.is it advisable to take hr as major & mkt.(minor) in the present market condition(recession)
2.doing summer internship in jindal in hr , will effect my placement in marketing,(if i take marketing, major in 3rd sem.)

Answer
Vikash,

I think it is always good to major in HR studies as it is transferable amongst several types of industries and professions.  Also, I believe ANY and ALL internships serve a very valuable purpose in exposure to a given profession and gives you a "real world" feel of what's to come post-graduation.

I hope this helps!
