Career Planning/What is the main differences between these jobs?

Question
Clerical Assistant
Administrative Assistant
Office Assistant
Receptionist

I've searched Google numerous times but it tends to have me running in circles. (one website says one thing, the other something different) I'd like to get a description for all of them from the same person, so I can know the true difference for each.

Answer
Ashley,

From a company or employer perspective, these are just varying titles given to the same type of role. One company will refer to a position an administrative assistant and another may call the position an office assistant.  What you will find that regardless the title, all of these roles take on similar job duties and responsibilities.

You can be confident in your job search that if you have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to qualify for a position titled "Clerical Assistant," you should also be qualified for a position as a receptionist.

As a job seeker, you will want to take the time to read and clearly understand the requirements for any position that you are applying for to make sure you meet all the necessary qualifications.

I hope this helps!
