Career Planning/I want to earn while I learn

Question
I would like to work as a child and youth counsellor in the UK/USA Are there any agencies that provide employment together with training towards accreditation so I can learn while I earn? I have an MSc in Counselling Studies but it does not include a warrant and it is not enough to practice the counselling profession in the UK or the USA. Thank you!

Answer
Debs,

Instead of searching for an accreditation, I would suggest that you find the ideal job you want to have and inquire about accreditation that way.  There's no need for you to "shoot in the dark" on what you think you would need to be a counselor in the US.  Find out for sure and then work your way backwards into the job of your dream.

I hope this helps!
