Question
I am a 16 year girl from India. I have taken Physics, chemistry and Maths as my main subjects. I initially was thinking of making Architecture my career. But I am not very good at drawing. On the other hand I am good in Maths and Physics, the other basic requirements for architecture. Should I go ahead and make it my career??? If no, what else can take up as a career?

Answer
Lily,

At 16, your options are limitless.  You could always double major if you feel up to the challenge and keep all of your options on the table.

I would take this time to explore several different career fields.

Take this time to contact people already working in these fields and talk with them about what they like most and least about the fields.  If you can and an opportunity exists, volunteer to shadow them for a day or two to see if the type of work they do would be of interest to you in the long term.  When you go to college, look into internships in the career fields to get even more exposure.

I hope this helps!
