Career Planning/Job change

Question
Hello and thank you for taking time to answer my question. I am 59 years old and have been employed at a company for 7 years. It is an employee owned company (ESOP) in which the company contributes 25% of ones annual salary to an ESOP profit sharing type program. This money is not guaranteed. If the company loses money in profits or goes out of business, then one loses this retirement money. In any case, I am now fully vested. I have been thinking of moving on and looking for another job in my field: graphic design. My question is...is it wiser to just stay put in this job (a job I am quite tire of and a company that I no longer like) or search for a new job perhaps a better job with more money and more interesting. A new job would be probably my last career move. However at my age, with age discrimination, it might be very tough finding a new job. Staying put is safe, though no guarantee that I won't lose it due to the economy, and as I have stated, this present job is not enjoyable anymore. Should I take a chance and get a new job if possible, or suck it up, and stay put? Thanks again for your time.

Answer
I am based in India & feel you should also consult a local expert who knows the conditions in USA better .However my advise is to take the chance & get a new job ..But hang on to this job till you get the new job in hand ..NO RISK ..NO GAIN ..Best Wishes !!
