Question
Hello, I am 15 years old and a Sophomore in High School. My goal for life is to be able to own my own Real Estate Development Corporation similar to that of Donald Trump. Basically, I want to own and run hotels and casinos. My question is how do I get there? I want to figure out the fasted and most efficient way to get to where I want to be, and I know that it will involve other jobs before becoming CEO of my own company, but what steps should I take?

Also, I am wondering which field to go into since I think as long as you have money you can start your own Real Estate Development Corporation by just building a Casino. I know the given would be to go into business, getting a job at a Corporation and working up. But I am also interested in the fields of Journalism, Law, and Acting.

Overall I just want to know what I should do with my life after High School to get to where I want to be, and be successful. Thank you for your time and have a great day!

Nick

Answer
Hi Nick,

You really need to sit down with a career counselor and discuss your situation in detail.  You have varied interests, and it is unlikely that one career will encompass them all.

I suggest that you take some career assessments and discuss the results with a career professional so that you can make an informed decision.
