Question
Hello. And thank you for being here!! I have just recently decided to look for 9-5 job in the city (NYC) rather than my job as a personal trainer so I can have more money and peace of mind to audition..only problem is I'm banking on the idea that I may be able to find auditions in the evenings! I could be completely out in left field in this idea and I know there are a variety of auditions at a variety of times but I'm wondering if you could give me a little onsite as too wether only relying on evening auditions is going to be a possibility or completely a no go. By the way I am interested in auditions for Independent films, small budget films, TV, and commercials. I originally became a trainer because I thought the flexibility would be great for an actor but I would rather have the peace of mind of having a more stable job possibly behind the scenes and do my auditioning in the evening?? Whatcha  think?? Sincerely, someone who does not want to be in the food service of American for the rest of their life/waitress/bartender/hostess/dowager/housekeeping/telemarketing/life temper/ personal trainer/...and the list goes on, yes I have done all of these..I just really want to have a career I can feel good about while having an auctioning life that is just as important if not more!! ...Very hopeful..Vanessa

Answer
Hi Vanessa, And thank you for your kind words.  To be very frank with you, I think you have made a poor decision. Especially if personal training was supporting you. But all auditions are in the afternoon and the work is from before dawn until after sunset.  You really need an agent. So Vanessa, I need to know more about you and your background in acting so I can properly advise you.  Write me at kencosp@aol.com from where I advise aspiring actors from all over the world. Best wishes and God bless, Doc
