Question
QUESTION: Hi.

My name is Sydney and I have been singing for a long time. I am very interested in becoming a singer for disney channel. can you please tell me where some good auditions are for disney channel. also, can you please tell me agents that are in NYC that work with disney. I sing and act.

Before I go, I would like to mention that i have been singing with my choir for a long time and have been getting lead parts in plays since 4th grade. Bye!

ANSWER: Sydney,

Thanks for writing. I don't work for The Disney Channel nor have I ever worked for them, so I don't know about their auditions. It's probably best to call the Casting Department at The Disney Channel and ask them about their audition process.

As far as agents, ALL agents in NYC represent talent that they would LOVE to have appear in a Disney Channel production.

QUESTION: Hi.

Thanks for your answer. I am starring lead role in a play that is coming out in May. My mom wants to call/e-mail agents and invite them to come. Is there any process to that. Also is there any agency out there that you think is really good?

Answer
Sydney,

As a rule, I don't recommend agencies or agents to people who write to me on this website because I don't know the writer's talent.

The best resource for agency listings is the Hollywood Creative Directory. Your local library may have a copy. You may also purchase a hard copy and/or an online version by visiting their website at www.hcdonline.com. This resource guide lists every large, medium and small talent agency and management company in the entertainment industry in both Los Angeles and New York.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
