Kitty, can you tell me the difference between exclusive agency vs non exclusive agency.  I signed my 3 children with a non exclusive agency representation; then, few weeks later, I received a call from what I think is an exclusive agency (Encore) to come in for evaluation and possibly representation as well.  Which one is better? So far, my kids have not done any work since they signed up with the non exclusive agency 4 weeks ago (since we are waiting for their photos to be developed). ARe there more chances for them to get work thru the exclusive agency?

Answer
An non-exclusive agency means that you can be represented by more than one agency at a time (which may also increase the chances of work opportunities.)
And exclusive agency means that you cannot be listed with another agency (unless it's for something else - like one agency for acting, and one for modeling).  
An exclusive agency may work harder for their talent, which can be an advantage - but exclusive or non-exclusive, it really depends on the agency as to how hard they work for their talent, their reputation in the industry, how much business they get, the market they are located in, etc., all of which influences how much work they can get for your children.
