i'm kinda stuck in a slump, ever since i can remember since i was a little girl i've had a dream of becoming an actress. i've taken some classes and started to pursue my dream but life gets in the way. i'm 30, married w/children. what would be the best way to get started, realistically?

Perhaps it would be easier for you to just take an auditioning class rather than a whole course in acting - and start your search for an agent.  

Agents have been known to work around school schedules to the best of their ability for child actors and models, so perhaps one would be willing to do the same with you, around your children's school schedules (assuming your children are of school age.)

If you have someone you trust ready and standing by to babysit should the need arise, you can just tell your agent you need at least a day's (or two days) notice before you are scheduled to audition or work.

That will make it somewhat easier, and you can certainly start out doing background work and/or commercials (which are usually shorter gigs) rather than going out immediately for film lead roles that may require more time and effort.

And if you start out doing background-type work, you may not even need headshots/resume, which will also save you money, at least until you don't decide to move up to the next level.
