Question
I was wondering how you would get an agent for acting, singing, and modeling. Do you need to pay them to get one? How do you get discovered? How do you get started?

Answer
First of all would you consider youself any of the things you mentioned already?
If you are just beginning, I suggest that you take some classes in whatever it is that you want to do.
Also I would advice that you look everyone up on imdb.com to find out if they are legit.
Don't believe that everything on a personal website states that they have done.
Depending on what level you are would determine the type of agent that you could get.
Agents make money off of you ONLY when you make money, NOT beforehand.
If anyone asks for money upfront turn around and walk out the door.
You might consider getting into a play or do some local indie type films to start building a resume.
An agent usually doesn't take on newcomers unless you are something special or have a quality or a talent that they can market you for.
Good Luck, I hope this helped.
