Question
hey, so i was wondering to get an agent you have to send them a headshot and a resume, but what is a resume and what do you need for it?

Answer
Stephanie,

Thanks for writing. A resume for an actor is a chronological representation of an actor's experience. It shows the reader the work that an actor has done, meaning the roles he/she has performed in, the film, TV and theater experience an actor has, the training the actor has undertaken, the special skills that he/she has such as juggling, dialects, stage combat, etc. Without a resume, an agent has no way of knowing realistically if you have any experience or not. And without experience, an agent is unlikely to want to represent you.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
