Question
Hi, I would like to ask you a question.I am 22 and I have just finished my University studies in my country. I would like to visit really good acting classes in the NYC, as we don't have such in my country. Now I'm totally confused as whenever I tried to find some responses about acting schools half people wrote bad things and half positive.I just need names of GOOD acting schools in NYC that I won't waste my time and money. And one more thing, do all these schools require audition before they accept me?Thank you

Answer
Hello Valeriya, What makes a good acting school to one person is not the same for another. You did not say anything about having any acting experience or what sort of training you were looking for, stage or screen. Acting schools do not teach you to act, they only teach about acting and techniques that you might try with your acting.  You have to be a born an actor (and by that I mean born in the top 1% of all those who aspire to be actors), and you need lots of acting in plays.  Any worthwhile acting school will require an audition.  They should accept video auditions from you. Best Wishes, Doc
