Question I'm a 13 year old girl who would love to be an actress but i don't know where to start. and i know when some people write to you half of them can't act at all. but i judge myself and i think I'm decent i put feeling and emotion i basically become the person i am portraying. also my parents will not take me to any screening they think all of them are just scams. so what should i do other than stay in school.
Answer Then start acting in EVERYTHING you can.
Community theatre, extra work in movies, anywhere.
But, if you want to get serious, then make sure that you stay in school.
Take advantage of whatyour school has to offer you first.
By that I mean getting involved in all of the acting, chior, band, dance, gymnastics, speech, languages, history, classes that you can take.
All of these will make you a much better and well-rounded actor.
If you decide to take some outside workshops or classes, make sure that you look EVERYONE up (even on here, who's giving you advice) on imdb.com you can't believe everyone out there is out to just help you.
Be careful and good luck.
