I have been told more times than I can remember that I should put my daughter in modeling or acting, from the time she was a baby.  She is 3 1/2 now, and the older she gets the more I hear it.  I am told she looks like a "modern Shirley Temple" (she has curly hair).  She also has a great personality for it--outgoing, social, smart, good with strangers, loves the camera, etc.  I would like to look into modeling, but I don't really know how to go about it without running into scams and wasting a bunch of time and money.  Can you tell me if you know of any reputable agencies in Las Vegas, and how to go about starting my child in modeling?  I appreciate any advice!

There are several agencies in Nevada that are affiliated with the Screen Actors Guild (below) - but you will need to check with them to see if they represent children of your daughter's age, and if they represent models as well as actors.

Another thing you can do is check out one of the books on child modeling or child acting - some of which also contain an agency directory of agencies that either specialize in children, or have a children's division.

Both agencies affiliated with a union or pre-screened by the child modeling/talent books should all be good and legitimate representation.
