Question
Hello, my name is Amy and I am an aspiring actress.  I am still in my teen years and I have always wanted to become an actress.  I'm not quite sure where I should start, and I have heard that places like John Casablana and John Robert Powers are a waste of time and a waste of money.  I just need a good place to start.  I would like to one day be on a television series or on the big screen.  Please help. Thankyou

Answer
Hi Amy.  It just so happens that I mentor aspiring actors for free. I am a retired actor and professor of theatre.  Casablancas and Powers are scams.  All actors, stage and screen, start in their school plays and speech competitions in acting.  Talk to you teachers and school counselors about how to get involved.  Write to me at kencosp@aol.com and let me know what school level you are and what city you are in or near and I will be able to help find you lessons and other opportunities for your acting training.  Also get your parents on board, they are your most important asset until you are 18 and can be afterward as well.  When you write to me, I will send you more info about my acting and teaching and producing background.  OK?
