Expert: Laura Interval - 6/3/2008

Question
My three year old is very mature,animated,beautiful,and loves to have her picture taken. I am interested in trying to get her started maybe in catalogues or mailers for kid stores. She is my precious baby though, so I don't want to just take her to anybody. How do I get started?

Hi!  It can be wonderful for babies to model, but I want you to be aware of the reality of the business.  It's hard for me to answer your questions without knowing these answers:
Are you in a large city?
Are you able/prepared to take your baby around to go sees to interview for jobs?
Is your baby good with strangers?
Would your baby be ok if you left the room?

I've done a lot of shooting with babies, both film and print.  I have witnessed the good situations and the bad.  I'd be happy to talk to you further if you'd like to answer these questions for me.
