Answer
AJ,

Thanks for writing. I sense that English is not your native language. I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking, but I'll try and answer what I THINK you're asking.

Filmmakers respond to material. If  a director or producer reads a screenplay and get emotional connected to it, they are more likely to want to make it into a film.

That said, for some filmmakers, it isn't about passion as much as it is about its commercial viability. Does the screenplay they read have an audience? Is it commercial, meaning is it an easy sell. Getting a film produced is a very, very, very difficult achievement, so some filmmakers only wish to consider high-concept, easily sellable screenplays.

If a screenplay is so complex that it will costs over $100 million to produce, it will be much more difficult to get made without major stars in the film as opposed to a film that can be produced for $10 million. It's simple economics.

The bottom line is this - it doesn't matter how good or how bad your screenplay is, if you cannot attract on-screen talent with sellable names to appear in the film, your screenplay will not get produced.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
