Question
I' am 12 years old I live in Lexington KY. I am trying to get started in some community plays and musicals to launch my career in acting. I do not have a career yet but I am hoping to be fammous. I am a good singer and I can act well. When yous say jump I'll be the first to jump. i am a very good listener. My question is, if I amin a commuinity play or popular show will scouts or agents see me and give me an interview. Or give me a shot in TV entertanment?

Answer
Mackenzie,

Thanks for writing. The answer to your question is maybe and no. Maybe the local talent agencies in Lexington may see your show and if they like what they see, may take a shot at representing you. However, the big-time film and TV agents that work in Hollywood will not see you - it's not worth their time and money to fly to Kentucky to see an unknown actor when there are plenty of talented unknown actors already in Hollywood.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
