Question QUESTION: Hi phil all my life i have wanted to be a acttress and singer but noyhing has haping yet i have been looking for companys but they all ways ask for credit card noumber it make me if i give it to them they are just going to use me so were can i go and what to do people have tould me how good i am and i just dont want to waist my talent by siting on my butt and i have prayed that i wiil find something that would let me do an audition but i havent fould nothing yet and i keep looking but the companys still ask for credit card number and bank acounts are they even suppose to do does that mean they are a frod i dont know who can i trust i just now i love to act and thats what i want to do.

Thanks for writing. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "companys." What "companys" are you referring to that are asking you for money and for your back account numbers? No one should be asking you for this information. If they ask for it, it means that they aren't legitimate.
If you want to be an actress and singer, you need the following:
1) talent
2) training
3) an agent
4) a headshot
5) experience
Once you have these things, then you need to move to either Los Angeles or NYC as the majority of the projects that cast actresses are cast in Los Angeles or NYC.

QUESTION: ok thanks that is good information but i cant move out of houston with out a parent because my family works and im still in school but is there some where in houston i can go to.
and when i say company like this company dealing with acting and modling i made the cut but they asked for money right then and there so i didnt sind up because my dad said that when they ask for money right then ,they are fake and then a nothing company ask for our credit card number on the phone with out even seeing me yet so are them scams. ps thanks for reading my letter
Answer If you're in Houston, try contacting The Alley Theater, a professional theater company that is based in Houston. Ask for their in-house casting director and when you speak to that person, ask him/her for a 15 minute informational meeting where you can go to his/her office and ask a number of questions about how you can get legitimate training from respectable teachers in the Houston area.
