Question
hi Phil. I've always wanted to be a singer and also act since i could remember.
i have done an audition for john Robert powers and they accepted me, but i was having some problems with figuring out with my parents about how to pay for the classes that i had to take.
so i couldn't do the classes
and this wasn't very long ago, it was actually two weeks ago or less. but i just wanted to know how i could start a career by singing and acting for Disney channel.
please i really need your help and I'll take any advice you can give me.
thanks

Answer
Maria,

Thanks for writing. The sad reality is that without your living in Los Angeles, having an agent, taking acting classes, and being available to go on auditions at a moment's notice, you really don't have much of a chance of being cast in anything that The Disney Channel may be producing. That said, if the production company should come to your city for filming, you can then submit your headshots to the local casting director in the hope of obtaining an audition.

Sorry that I can't be more positive for you, but I wanted you to know what you're realistically up against.

Phil
