Question
QUESTION: Hi my name is Jenny im 11 and ive always wanted to be an actress! My mom says i was born for the job and i beleive her! I wanted to know how do i get started? Plz i need ur help i have to make my dream real as soon as i can bye!

ANSWER: Hi Jenny, YOu are very fortunate that your mother is so supportive, What you need is lots of experience and training and your mom can be a big help in finding you these things.  The important thing is for you to be on stage as often as possible, take acting lessons, music lessons, dance lessons and in a few years mom will get you an agent. Perform at every opportunity no matter how small the performace.

QUESTION: What acting school would you reccomend?! My mom is looking for  one but cant pick we do not have that much money and live in phoenix. thnx bye!!

Answer
Jenny, I do not recommed acting schools for 13 yr olds. Avoid the ususal scams, jr powers, casablancas, and barbizon.  Have mom look in the phone book or on line and find several that have classes for your age group. Classes vary in price so you can pick one that you can afford. But classes do not make you an actor. You need to be in all the shows you can. I recommend that people become successful in important roles in several plays before spending money on classes, Best wishes, Doc
