Question
Hi I'm 13 and i really want to be a Director when i get older, but my father hates the idea. but it's the only thing that I've wanted to do for a while. Also because my father doesn't like to directing idea he wont pay for film school. My mom does not work and i would need allot of money if i wanted to go to a good film school.Should i try to go for it or should i just give up? And how would i find the money to get there? please help. -Alex

Thanks for writing. Only you can decide if you should pursue a career as a film director. It's not my place to tell you to for it or not.

With respect to the money, if you're parents won't pay to send you to film school, then you'll need to apply for college loans. When you get to high school, talk to your guidance counselor about what loans may be available and how you would go about applying for them.
