Question
Hey im james, im 15 and i live in England. I'm really interested in becoming an actor. Not for the fame or for the riches but becuase i truly love to make my friends laugh. I was looking at previous questions on this site and i found one answer that mentioned exploretalent.com. I went on the website and found lots of roles for pilots of sitcoms etc that i really though i could do. I'm not jsut being big-headed but they wanted stuff like ' a young male who can meow like a kitty cat with a host of crazy facial expressions'. I know im too young and i dont live in the U.S but I really want to become an actor (im not after a lead role in a hollywood blockbuster i'd be happy with you know, a minor character who pops up a lot or something) and i dont know where to start or who to approach. Im sorry you had to read all this but i had to get it off my chest.
Thanks so much,
James

Answer
Hi James, Well, I will tell you how to start.  You have to be in all the school plays, and you have to study drama in college and take acting at university or at a professional academy.  You are late getting started at 15, but if you  have the talent, you might just make it. IT takes years, so don't get in a rush. Best wishes and God bless. Doc
