Question
um... i really wanted to know if i had to sing on an audition fo acting?
pls let me know:):)
thanx

Answer
Sumaya,

Thanks for writing. If the audition notice to which you responded indicated that you will be asked to sing, then yes, you'd be required to sing. If it doesn't indicate that in the audition posting, then most likely you won't be asked to sing.

But you never know what will be asked of you in an audition so be prepared. If you don't know how to sing, or don't feel your singing voice is very strong, don't worry. When a director asks you to sing for a role that does not require singing, it's usually because he wants to see how courageous you're willing to be.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
