About Kitty Kavey
Expertise
I can answer questions from those looking to get into the fashion or commercial modeling industry. Specifically, the requirements, what is needed, how to find an agent, what they look for, how to avoid scams, the difference between what a commercial model does, and a fashion model, would travel/relocation be required, what is on a comp card and in your portfolio.

Experience
Both my acting and modeling resume/portfolio is available online on my website. I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and also have available my actor's demo reel and voice-over demo online. I founded both the Florida-Models.com and Florida-Actors.com websites, which provide free modeling and acting info to the public. I have moved into directing, producing and screenwriting - and have won awards for my writing. I have worked in the industry as both a model and actress in Florida, New York City and Los Angeles until October 2007. I now reside in Europe.

Question
what is the best university to attend for acting?

Answer
That depends somewhat on what type of acting one was interested in, and what method(s) of acting would mesh best with the individual.  Generally speaking, there are many acting schools and courses that also might work as well or better than attending a general university for acting.

There are some schools and universities that also have more well-known alumni and are more recognizable on an actor's resume - not necessarily the best for acting, but which can be an advantage.  Many of the better schools for actors are located in the larger markets; New York City and Los Angeles in the US, and students can easily work as an actor while learning in those areas.

Wikipedia has an entry listing Tisch (NY# as the #1 film school #and they are renowned for their acting program# in the country, tied with USC #L.A.). You can look them up at: http://cinema.usc.edu/
and
http://www.tisch.nyu.edu/

One of the top schools/programs with many notable alumni is The Actor's Studio: http://www.theactorsstudio.org/
