Question
I am a young 15 year old girl fro a small town in Texas and my dream is to be an actress ,but no one answers my questions so i thought i would ask you guys. I was wondering what i should do to get noticed as an actress. I'm very interested in film but i do not have a lot of money to spend so i was wondering what is your best advice?

Answer
I think you should spend some time reading about the ways people can succeed as actors.
Go to your library and ask for books about acting careers, In the Dewey system, they are in the 790s.
There isn't a lot of writing for teen actors. Look at your TV and see that most of the teens are actually people in their twenties who look young.
Acting is a career choice, and you have to approach it that way.
Before you can get noticed by anyone who can move your career forward, you have to have shown that you have the necessary skills to do the job. Look around close to home for places you can act and learn about acting. The experience is what you need now, not classes, which are often expensive and in your case I think not useful.
With good grades and with a number of acting jobs on your resume you will hsve a chance to get good training at college level.
Yes, I know, 'wait, get good grades'. Deeply boring. But it's the truth.
