About Kitty Kavey
Expertise
I can answer questions from those looking to get into the fashion or commercial modeling industry. Specifically, the requirements, what is needed, how to find an agent, what they look for, how to avoid scams, the difference between what a commercial model does, and a fashion model, would travel/relocation be required, what is on a comp card and in your portfolio.

Experience
Both my acting and modeling resume/portfolio is available online on my website. I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and also have available my actor's demo reel and voice-over demo online. I founded both the Florida-Models.com and Florida-Actors.com websites, which provide free modeling and acting info to the public. I have moved into directing, producing and screenwriting - and have won awards for my writing. I have worked in the industry as both a model and actress in Florida, New York City and Los Angeles until October 2007. I now reside in Europe.

Question
Hi My name is hermona.I want to know how i can get a good list of agents near Indianapolis,IN.Please help me.I waNt to become a Disney channel star it has always been a dream of mine (since i was 2). I Also want to know what a headshot is?

THANK YOU SO MUCH 4 YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!

Answer
You can use the Screen Actor's Guild list of franchised agencies:
http://www.sag.org/content/find-agent
and search for the location closest to yours.  Many of the agencies on that list also have websites (just use your favorite search engine to locate) that detail what types of talent they represent, and what they want to see from new talent for agency consideration.

You can hopefully find work where you are now, but eventually if you want to work on TV specifically for Disney shows, then you will need to live closer to one of the Disney studios.  But in the meantime you can work on developing your acting skills and actor's resume.

Your headshot is usually an 8x10 professional actor's headshot.  They used to be only in black and white, but more often than not are all done in color now.  The front has your name and photo on it, and the back contains your actor's resume, contact information and/or agency.

An example of actor's headshots that I like can be found here:
http://www.headshot-photography.com/
and there's an article on general headshots on Wikipedia here:

Good luck to you,
~Kitty
