Question Hi my name is Tierra and im in middle school. I want to be a actress with my own show on Disney Channel . (Or guest star). And I already have an idea for my own show to. But so far I had no such luck with getting a interview or audition. So do you have a way that I could have a way to become a star on Disney Channel.
Answer It's good to have dreams, and necessary if you are aiming at artistic success.
But it's necessary to look at the arithmetic:
Every year, thousands of young people contact Disney looking for a chance.
Every year, Disney auditions hundreds of kids.
Each year a handful get cast in a Disney show.
How many star actors does Disney have? Less than ten, I'd say.
The competition to get into a position where someone would put you up for an audition is terrific.
The result is that only those who have proof of major talent even get a chance.
Your job now is to become the sort of young actress that a major channel would want to see cast.
You have to learn skills, improve on your natural skills so that you are amazing.
You have to perform in public. Starting at school, in clubs, as part of charity shows ... wherever you can get the experience of doing the work, and where you can interest people in hiring you themselves. Small parts in small productions can lead to larger parts in more important productions, as people see interesting work on your résumé.
Find out what you have in your area. Google, ask at school, bug the librarian, speak to the local theatre if you have one. You will need to be a local star before you move on and up the ladder.
This is a long row to hoe, but the route to the joy of acting success is not an easy one at any stage. Enjoy the journey as you go along, aim for the stars, but keep your attention on the country you're going through as well.
