QuestionHey, I take acting classes at Act One Studios in downtown Chicago. I have a assignment due this Saturday where me and my partner have to come up with a "HIGH STAKES" scenario (they also have to have a close relationship like mom, dad, girlfriend, boyfriend, etc) where "Person A" has to try to hide an object with every fiber in there body. And "Person B" has to try to find the object with every fiber in there body. I've came up with a few scenarios like "Person A" being a drug trafficer and the Godson of "Person B" who is a cop who also happens to be "Person A" Godfather. And "Person A" is trying to hide his drugs while "Person B" is trying to find them but has the conflict of putting his Godson who already has 2 strikes in jail for his 3rd strike. I was wandering, is this a good scenario? And also could you give me a high stakes scenario? So I can get some kind of idea of something original. Because A LOT of people tend to do the same scenario just with a different variation. I'd really appreciate it because my acting partner is lazy and I feel like I'm the only one trying. Thanks before hand.
AnswerThis is your homework, not mine.
I will give you a clue however.
It doesn't have to be a physical object.
It can be an emotional thing.
ie; hiding the fact that you have a crush or a secret..
Your job in my opinion as an actor is to think outside the box.
Use your partners laziness perhaps against him/her.
