Hi. My name is Maddy and I've known that I wanted to be a singer since I
was 5. I couldn't imagine not being one. I play piano, saxophone, and have
taking voice lessons so I have experience in music. I live in Pennsylvania
which makes really hard to find any type of music producer. I don't know
much about making demo tapes. And I have trouble composing music...but I
can write songs. I want to be a singer because I love to sing and I want to
stand out from other people. I hope you can give me some advice. Thanks.

Hi Maddy...And thanks for writing.  

First of all, would you mind letting me know how old you are now?  That will help me give you advice that you can use now.

The best advice that I have gotten for my career (and I think it is the best advice I have gotten yet) is to continually find ways to do what you believe you were created to do.  Whether it be playing at a festival or a restaurant or an event or the like, find ways to share your skill.  

We'll start there.   Once I know how old you are, I can give you some more thoughts.
